As the founding principal at New Dawn Charter High School, Lisa fights for quality education opportunities for transfer high school students in New York City. She holds a Ph.D. in education policy from Walden University. In addition to her work in Brooklyn, Lisa consults with different education think tanks, like the Center for Education Innovation and Educator and Student Open Learning (EASOL). She also writes curriculum for different schools and organizations, in addition to doing advocacy work for at-risk teens. Lisa was a New York Educator Voice Fellow with America Achieves for 2015 and a Policy Fellow for the 2016dash;2017 school year.
